Revverse Ltd ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Revverse mobile application. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.

1. Data We Collect

When you use Revverse, we may collect:

Account data: your name and email address when you register
Listing data: photos, descriptions, prices, and vehicle fitment details you provide when creating listings
Transaction data: order details, delivery addresses, and payment records (payment card data is handled entirely by Stripe and never stored by us)
Messages: in-app messages between buyers and sellers
Vehicle lookups: registration numbers you search for in the plate checker
AI listing data: listing titles, descriptions, categories, condition, and part numbers you submit to AI-assisted listing tools

2. How We Use Your Data

To operate the marketplace and process orders
To generate shipping labels via Royal Mail
To authenticate your account and keep it secure
To send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates)
To generate optional listing descriptions and suggest vehicle compatibility when you use AI-assisted tools

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following services only as needed to operate Revverse:

Stripe: payment processing. Your delivery address is shared with Stripe to complete transactions. Stripe Privacy Policy

4. International Transfers

Stripe and Supabase may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on legally approved safeguards, including the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses: to ensure your data continues to receive a comparable level of protection.

5. Data Retention

When you delete your account, we disable access and erase your public profile, unsold listings, messages, and personal settings. We retain restricted transaction, payment, delivery, and fraud-prevention records only for as long as required for refunds, chargebacks, accounting, and UK legal obligations, then delete or anonymise them.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Delete your account and all associated data (available in-app under Profile → Delete Account)
Lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk
